The Right Bank Clothing Company was the recipient of the prestigious Los Angeles AIA Award of Merit.

This retail design project posed the interesting problem of integrating a boutique and restaurant in the same space. The restaurant is on the mezzanine level, almost entirely enclosed in glass. A vaulted glass roof floats above, creating an expansive, open air ambiance.

The space is scarcely more than 14 feet wide and soars upward 30 feet. This space is a petite indoor version of the European sidewalk café and 30 feet above that to a coated, barrel vaulted skylight. The effect of this cathedral-like haven and the possibility of nourishment, makes shopping here not a chore but a pleasure.
